Battlecorps
In Battlecorps, the player controls a "Biped Assault Machine" (BAM) to free a planet from an infected AI system and its army of robots. Usually, this involves killing specific targets or getting to a location without being killed. When all lives are lost, the game is over.
To simulate the 3D world, Battlecorps relies heavily on the use of sprite scaling. However, unlike a game like Doom, this tool rarely paints flat instead simulating them by placing a series of large textures in a row. The ceiling is never shown, although many stages remedy this by taking place exclusively outside. Battlecorps also gives players a degree of control over the Y-axis, allowing them to attack flying enemies or "bare" turrets. I wish you fun!
