Tecmo Super Bowl (USA)

Each team in the Tecmo Super Bowl (USA) has at least twenty players (twenty-one if the kicker is not a starter), with nine players attacking, nine playing defense, one kicking a ball, and a batter. If the kicker is not a starter, the team has twenty-two players. Each club in Tecmo Super Bowl has a total of thirty distinct players on their roster. On defense, each team has 11 players that cannot be replaced and are not currently sidelined due to injury. Each side has seventeen players that can attack, with eleven replacements and six of those players being substitutes. Each team must always have eleven players on the field at all times.
The normal NFL schedule from 1991 was incorporated into the Tecmo Super Bowl video game, in addition to the genuine clubs and players that were used. Both the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl were played after the regular season as part of its postseason format.
