Speed Stars

Speed Stars isn't like other driving games. It's a physics-based sprinting game that's funny, intense, and full of strange obstacles. You are in charge of an athlete with weak legs, and your goal is to run as fast as you can without falling. This is easier said than done! The clumsy movement controls and ragdoll motions make for a lot of hilarious moments, and each race is a mix of skill and pure chaos.

How to play Speed Stars

Goal:
Build and maintain speed by alternating taps in rhythm.
Avoid tapping too fast or too slow—rhythm and consistency are key.

Mechanics:

  • Acceleration: Faster, well-timed taps build speed.
  • Overstepping or inconsistent tapping causes you to slow down.
  • Form bar or stamina (in some versions): If present, keep it in the green for max performance.
  • Start timing: A good start gives you a slight boost—time your first tap right after “Go”.
  • Find your rhythm: Don’t mash buttons. Instead, tap at a consistent pace, ideally aligned with the athlete’s strides.
  • Use headphones: The game often has audio cues that match the rhythm—these can help keep you on beat.
  • Practice starts: The first few taps set the pace; a solid start can improve your overall time.
  • Use both hands: Alternate fingers on each side (left thumb/right thumb or index fingers) for faster, more controlled tapping.
  • Don’t max out too early: If you go too fast too soon, you'll lose rhythm or stamina. Gradually increase your tempo.
  • Replay ghost races: Compete against your best times or friends’ ghosts to push your limits and learn better pacing.
  • Train each distance: 60m, 100m, and 200m races require different pacing strategies—practice each one.
