Air Gallet (older, Europe)
The gameplay of the vertical-scrolling shooter game Air Gallet is reminiscent to that of games like Raiden (1990). The plot revolves around a terrorist group that, in addition to destroying important cities across the globe, forces news outlets to indoctrinate news anchors with propaganda tales. The players are dispatched to put an end to them as members of a dissident group.
Six automatically-scrolling areas, featuring Tokyo Tower, forests, and harbors, are explored by players. Making it to the finish line while eliminating waves of opponents and dodging bullets is the goal. Every level ends with a boss battle against an opposing aircraft. If players gather four power capsules that match, their fighter plane can be upgraded. A spread shot, homing missiles, machine guns, a support drone, and a laser are among the weapons available.[3] The player can upgrade each weapon four times, after which the weapon's level returns to zero in the event of death. Also, there are two types of smart bombs that can either clear the screen of adversaries or provide a targeted, limited strike, as well as star-shaped medals that alternate between point values for players to collect.
