Pac-Man 2 - The New Adventures (Germany)

Unlike its predecessors, Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures is a graphic adventure game. As Pac-Man completes various tasks assigned to him by other characters, players take on the role of the character. A lot of these entail getting a particular object, like a milk bottle or a flower. In contrast to previous adventure games, Pac-Man is not directly controlled by the player; instead, he explores and engages with the game world at his own leisure. Alternatively, players can "influence" Pac-Man to go in the right direction or focus on a particular object by using a slingshot. Pac-Man can also be used by the player to wake him up after fainting or to adjust his mood in a variety of ways by using the slingshot.

Players must solve riddles to progress in each quest. The player's actions affect Pac-Man's moods, which solve various problems. After shooting an apple from a tree, Pac-Man will eat it and be pleased, but shooting him in the face will make him angry or depressed. Keeping Pac-Man too pleased will make him conceited and cocky, making him less cooperative. Pac-Man rides a hang glider or minecart through "chase" scenarios, requiring quick reflexes. Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde may appear, scaring Pac-Man and making him scamper around the screen. Fed a Power Pellet from the inventory at the bottom of the screen, Pac-Man becomes Super Pac-Man and can fly and eat ghosts. In an arcade, players can play the original Pac-Man.
