Tetris Plus 2 (World)

Tetris Plus 2 (World) features a field where "tetrominoes" fall from the top. The player can rotate and slide the pieces sideways till they touch the ground or land on a previous piece during this descent. In most versions, the player can speed up but not stop falling shards. The goal is to create as many horizontal rows of blocks with the puzzle pieces. Lines disappear and blocks above diminish by one order of magnitude when completed. Clearing lines earns points and moves the player up a level, increasing the quantity of points earned every line.

Most variants speed up falling pieces with each level, giving the player less time to position them. In some versions, clearing multiple lines earns bonus points. Tetris, an I-shaped tetromino, can finish four lines at once. If the player can't make the blocks disappear fast enough, the field will fill up and the game will end when the pieces reach the top and block new pieces. Each game ends with a score based on the number of lines finished. The player can only complete as many lines before losing; the game never ends.
