Stellar-Fire

The player's Raven lands on one of Arctura's moons. Each moon has a boss who can only be fought if the player has enough Moon Crystals. Once a moon boss has been defeated, the Raven will land on the next Arcturan moon. Once all five moon bosses have been defeated, the player will face Arctura himself.

When the Raven lands on a new moon, a mission briefing will be given verbally, and all of the moon's enemies will be shown. The player can cycle through the enemies, look at the attack ships, listen to tips from the mission briefing, or just skip the mission briefing altogether.

The main game screen shows the player's score, the number of lives left, the Crystal Compass, the status of the player's shield, the direction from which the Raven was hit, and a Guardian Meter for the final boss battle with the Raven (which only appears when the battle is about to start, at the end of a moon run).

Once a moon's attack has started, it is best for the player to travel toward Moon Crystals by keeping the arrow of the Crystal Compass pointing up. This is usually the best way to get to the next Moon Crystal. But there are some shortcuts on some moons that let you get to a Crystal or power-up faster, even if the Crystal Compass isn't pointing up the whole time.
