Westone Bit Entertainment's Wonder Boy III - Monster Lair (set 6, World, System 16B, 8751 317-0098) is a side-scrolling action game released in 1988. It's the third game in the Wonder Boy series and the arcade system's final installment. Hudson Soft created a console adaptation, which was launched in Japan in 1989 for the PC Engine System CD-ROM2, and a subsequent North American edition on TurboGrafx-CD omitted the 'Wonder' label. Sega modified it for the Mega Drive and released it in Japan in 1990 and Europe in 1991. For the Wii Virtual Console, both the TurboGrafx-CD and Mega Drive versions have been re-released.
