Wonder Boy (sets 4, 315-5162) is a video game series created by Westone Bit Entertainment and released by Sega. Beginning with the arcade game Wonder Boy, which was launched on April 21, 1986, it produced a series of sequels for the arcade, Master System, and Sega Genesis, as well as three compilation titles and three remakes by other creators. Several titles, most notably Hudson Soft's Adventure Island translation of the original game, have been transferred to other platforms under various names by various publishers. For the international editions, the primary character "Wonder Boy" was given the names Book and Tom-Tom by the creator Sega.
